What We Do
Our aim at Alan Wilcox Associates is to facilitate progress in organisations in Aotearoa New Zealand through the generation of experience and knowledge with those who share a common purpose. Equity and sustainability are our underpinning values and we facilitate and promote spiritual, emotional and intellectual perceptions and processes that enrich individuals and organisations, provide meaning and perspective and support them with the skills to lead and manage.
Our aim is underpinned by our core convictions – that work is a vehicle for service, that true advancement can only be achieved through collaboration and mutual support, and that progress is made most meaningful by participation. One of the things dear to us is the cultivation of values that honour and develop the human spirit and bring about social consciousness in the workplace and in our interactions with each other. We intend to model these values and practices in developing our own directions.
Our Principal has stated:
“We are on a process of learning, that has no beginning -even though we may not be conscious of it - and will have no end. Learning comes from so many different sources: from the people we meet, the expressions they have; the thoughts they share as well as more traditional sources of research, discovery testing and experience. And when we feel we have some learning to share, and that is of benefit to others we wrap the dollars around it and both enjoy the benefits of that learning to progress each other’s lives towards the direction that we mutually desire.”
