Introduced a new Communications Strategy for Road Safety - with award winning advertisements, resulting in a 15% drop in the road toll in its first half year and long term reductions in road crashes.
Developed and upgraded New Zealand’s Road Safety Strategy and the Land Transport Safety Authority’s Strategic Planning documents.
Restructured the LTSA shedding 10% of its staff.
Amalgamated the Motor Vehicle Registry with the LTSA with no industrial problems.
Introduced modern planning and budgeting systems, performance management, remuneration and communications systems to LTSA.
Initiated the review of New Zealand driver licensing system, resulting in ID on Drivers Licences.
Achieved multi-million dollar savings in LTSAs operating expenses.
